A woman in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has filed for divorce on grounds that her husband loves her too much, making her life "hell".
The woman filed the case at a court in Fujairah on Monday, lamenting that the husband doesn't even argue with her, which is making the marriage not worth it.
She said that the one-year-long romantic relationship has not been marred with any cases of disagreements, adding that he has as well never turned her down at any point.
"I long for one day of dispute, but this seems impossible with my romantic husband who always forgave me and showered me with gifts. I need a real discussion, even an argument, not this hassle-free life of obedience," she told the court, as she sought to be divorce as per the Islamic Shariah laws.
She added that the man has also been helping with the house chores, including cooking and cleaning, reports the UAE's Khaleej Times.
In his defence, the man said that he only wanted to be a perfect man, pleading with the court to convince his wife to withdraw the case.
He added that he will change, saying that people learn from their "mistakes".
"It's not fair to judge a marriage from the first year, and everybody learns from their mistakes," said the man.
