Despite 2022 seemingly far away from now, it is evident that DP Ruto’s camp has commenced advocating for his election to the house on the hill.
As time tickles, DP Ruto’s confidants have become too vibrant to be easily silenced by their political nemesis.
Among them is outspoken Kikuyu lawmaker Kimani Ichungwa.
The reason why he is automatically part of DP Ruto’s kitchen cabinet is due to his fearless support for the DP.
Since the DP has declared his interest to inherit president Uhuru, he has a kitchen cabinet to aid him put across his political agenda.
The kitchen cabinet comprises of the politicians who are ardent loyalists to the DP and are working hand in hand in lobbying for the DP’s political ideology across Kenya.
His job is to quickly respond to attacks from DP Ruto’s political adversaries and ensure no anti-Ruto statement goes unanswered.
Part of his job is also to advocate for the DP’s popularity in the Mount Kenya region.He has been actively convincing other politicians from his home turf to join the Kieleweke team which is a political camp allied to DP Ruto.
The legislator has recently told off his critics and insisted that he supports DP Ruto purely because they share the same political agenda.
As the cold war between former premier Raila Odinga and DP Ruto escalates the Kikuyu lawmaker has used all possible political podiums to put off the Kieleweke confidants.
Whether or not his role will bear fruits for the DP’s camp is a matter of time.
