Speaking to the residents when he led other leaders, governor Kinuthia Mbugua urged the residents to remain calm as leaders and police work towards finding solutions to the problem.

Residents of Ndefo had earlier barricaded the Njoro-Mau Narok road demanding justice for the death of the late Mzee Moses Njenga who was attacked by thugs at his home and shot with an arrow.

Governor Mbugua together with the area MP Joseph Kiuna calmed the residents with an assurance that the perpetrators will be brought to book.

"We should not let one person or a group of people divide us on tribal grounds. We have put so much effort in building peace especially in Nakuru and we should maintain at all costs," he said.

Later on the leaders attended a security baraza at Chebitet after an incident early this week where 12 cows were allegedly stolen from a Maasai trader and later 2 were found slaughtered in the area.

Governor Mbugua reaffirmed that an amicable solutions will be found but however cautioned residents against taking the law into their own hands.

"Youth from this area and also the neighboring communities should work together to ensure such incidences do not happen. We are neighbours and should respect each others properties," he advised.

The baraza was attended by various county leaders security committees from both Nakuru and Narok counties following the conflict.
