Lead by aspiring West Mugirango MP Steve Mogaka, they said the state of the wooden bridge risks lives of hundreds of people especially school going children.

They accused the county government of failing to prioritise major projects and threatened to boycott remitting of taxes if the situation is not fixed urgently.

“On behalf of my people, I want to challenge the county government to immediately construct a bridge here," said Mogaka.

"These wooden thing is risking lives of innocent residents who use is it as the main path to our neighbors Bosamaro ward,” he added.

“We always pay taxes and these are some of the projects we want to see done by the county government," he said.

"They have to fix the mess or we boycott remitting of taxes. We want accountability and tangible projects,” he added.

The renowned Nairobi lawyer said the county government will be held culpable in the case of any injuries suffered or deaths by the users of the major path.

"This linkage is important to our people who are in business. The county has to construct the bridge as soon as possible. I also want to caution it that they will be held liable for any injuries or deaths to the users,” he said.
