Kisii parents have raised their concern and worries about the many incidences of fire outbreaks in Kisii schools with then recent cases being Nyamage Boys and Machongo secondary school dormitories.
They are calling upon the county government to set up an investigation team into the recent cases of fire incidences to determine their causes.
“We cannot keep on attributing any fire incidence as a result of electricity faults. The intensity and number and co-ordination of this fires leaves a lot to be desired," said Joseph Tumbo.
“This should not be assumed. What if it catches our children in those dormitories? This can be a disaster that cannot be bared,” said Grace Onyango.
They are now calling upon the county government to conduct thorough investigations and leave nothing to chance.
