Nyota ward MCA Njuguna Gichamu is collecting signature from residents to petition the Senate over the delayed construction of Kiambiriri-Chepsir road in the ward.
The road connects Nakuru County and Kericho County and is reportedly under the National government category of roads.
According to Gichamu, the road has affected the productivity of his ward and service delivery to the people.
“The road has been in this deplorable condition for so long affecting service delivery to the people. It has also affected the productivity and contribution of the ward to county’s growth,” he said.
The MCA wants the Senate to investigate the matter and explain why the road has not been fixed.
He says his efforts with several authorities charged with the mandate to construct roads have borne no fruits.
