This comes days after a group of youth heckled the county boss during President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto's trip to the region.

Addressing the media on Thursday in Nakuru, former TNA Nakuru branch chairperson Abdul Noor said Mbugua still remains the county leader and should be respected, while also condemning the jeering incident.

‘It is a big shame to see our governor being heckled and jeered at by unknown youth in his backyard in front of the President and his deputy. This is absolutely wrong and therefore, all leaders in this region including MPs should join forces and unite Nakuru under one leadership," Noor stated.

‘Citizens should have ease in accessing the governor and presenting their grievances anytime. This is why I am calling on the governor alongside other leaders to come up with a structure that will make this possible," he added.

The former Nakuru TNA chair also accused members of the county assembly of Nakuru of wavering on their oversight role on the executive saying they had allowed gross misappropriation of public funds by rogue top officials in the county government at the expense of poor citizens.
