Ngunjiri said that the political war between the county executive and the county assembly of Nakuru is a result of bad standing orders which were passed by the county assembly members.

Speaking in a phone interview, Ngunjiri said that disagreements between the county executive and the assembly cannot be solved by anyone, saying that the only solution will come in 2017.

“I am blaming the MCAs for making and passing standing orders that are now haunting them. They passed very stupid standing orders and I tell you that there is no solution to the problems currently facing the assembly,” he said.

“The MPs, MCA’s and even you the media cannot solve the problems and the only solution is to replace the MCAs something that can only happen during elections,” he said.

He accused MCA’s of being pocketed by the county speaker Susan Kihika.

However, Majority leader George Mwaura dismissed the claims terming Ngunjiri’s remarks as unfortunate and unfounded.

He defended the assembly saying it has done its best to oversight the county government and legislating pro-Wanjiku laws.

“Those are farfetched allegations and are far from the truth because as an assembly we have executed our mandate very well,” said Mwaura.

“How can one person pocket over 70 people?’’ he posed.
