Following the incident which is trending on social media about the discipline at Nyabururu Girls high school where photos of a student allegedly beaten by teachers now human right activist and Young Women democrats empowerment CBO who are defending the girl child , widow ,orphans and boy Child program from the region have come out strongly condemning the incident.
Led by Esnahs Nyaramba they have challenged the school administration to come out clear and explain to the parents and the community what is going on in the school.
Addressing the press on Wednesday outside the school after they were locked outside from entering the school, she said that according to the reports they have from the school the students have been going through corporal punishment.
“What we saw on social media is shocking and that is why as the parents and guardians we have come here to see whether it is true or not, but it seems that it is true since they have locked us out since morning if it was false why have they denied even the media an opportunity of accessing the school,” said Esnahs.
Therefore he has challenged the Ministry of education to investigate the matter so that the truth can prevail.
“We are call on the ministry of education to come in so that this matter is investigated, we have been hearing that our children are suffering,” added Esnahs.
Journalist were also locked out from entering the school, the principal Imelda Ochenge neither picked our calls nor replied to our messages.
