Ms Odinga claimed the killing of her three German Shepherd dogs within a month is an indicator of a sinister plan in waiting.

The deputy governor made the revelation only a day after declaring she would contest for a political position in the county in 2017.

She has been vocal over what she calls 'wastage of county funds' especially by county employees vising foreign countries.

"I don't know whether the execution of the dogs which have been my source of security has an association with my prominence," she said on Friday in Kisumu.

Police however, said the matter had not been reported to the law enforcers.

Kisumu North police boss Peter Omanwa said the matter has not been reported.

"Let her make a formal report before we can start investigations. At this moment, I am not in a position to make further remarks," he said.
