Kibera youths have called on the government to speed up the process of bringing the culprits of graft cases to justice.
The youths say they feel the process is being delayed yet they are suffering in Kibera.
‘‘I don’t think the government is doing much to fight graft cases. Some of the cases have been ongoing for years on end. I believe if Kenyans do not stand to push for action, there will be no justice,’’ said Antony Bukachi, one of the youths in the area.
‘‘Sometimes I wonder how Kenyans say that justice will prevail but end up delaying the justice they promised. Look at the Anglo-leasing scandal. We are still talking about it now. Think of the chicken scandal and now the NYS mess. Where are we heading to? Currently, we are complaining of the Youth Fund Saga. If we are not careful, none of these cases will come to conclusion,’’ said Beatrice Mwale, another youth.
Joyce Kanini, said the leaders who are being appointed by either the president or Kenyan citizens should fight graft and get rid of corruption as a whole.
