Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has faulted Deputy President William Ruto for his frequent attacks targeting Raila Odinga.
Mr Odinga and Ruto have been at loggerheads for several months now, with the DP accusing Odinga of engineering fallout within Jubilee Party.
Dr Ruto has also been accusing Raila of using the handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta to create antagonism in government.
Speaking on Sunday at Kabondo Kasipul, Onyonka insisted that Ruto's chides against Raila are indirect provocation against President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He warned that the DP should drop his frequent attacks or face humiliating defeat in upcoming polls in 2022.
"I asked the DP to stop abusing Raila. Raila is an elder. Raila is a statesman. Abusing him can even attract curses to someone," said Onyonka.
"Instead of abusing him, let him just come and face off with me. Infact, when he's abusing Raila, it's like he's disrespecting the president," he added.
Onyonka ditched Dr Ruto's team early this year, arguing that the Deputy President is a 'man who cannot take advice or instructions from anyone'.
On Friday and Saturday, Dr Ruto visited Nyamira County where he urged locals to work closely with Jubilee administration for delivery of promises.
