This is after Knut officials on Tuesday clashed with him in court after he was reinstated into office.

The officials have queried the criteria used to reinstate embattled Sossion after he was deregistered from the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

Sossion is now walking a tight rope as he seeks to cement his leadership at the union. Sossion’s lawyers clashed with those representing acting Secretary-General Hesborn Otieno when they appeared in court over his removal on Tuesday. The court case came after an order was issued to stop the August 29, 2019 meeting.

The members and officials have planned to address the issue of the removal of the KNUT boss from office before an order stopping the same was issued at the end of the day.

Sossion’s lawyer Judith Guserwa alleged that the orders to suspend the meeting were presented to union chairman Wycliffe Omuchei but the latter denied that he was in hospital at the time of the submission of the order.

Through senior lawyer Okong’o, Omuchei said that he didn’t receive the order as alleged by his colleague. Sossion said that the meeting was illegal and aimed at finishing him.

“Even though Jesus was crucified alone, he was given a fair hearing. Sossion was not called to defend himself before he was suspended,” argued Sossion’s lawyer Guserwa, as quoted by Standard.

Omogeni, however, said that Sossion knew of the move to oust him before he resorted to seeking legal redress.
