A class eight girl from Mususye primary school in Kangundo sub-county Machakos county was rushed to Kangundo level four hospital for medication on Tuesday after collapsing while doing her KCPE exam.
Confirming the incident, Kangundo deputy county commissioner Justine Nelima said that the girl was doing her English paper before she collapsed.Two other girls couldn't sit for their KCPE exams, one girl who hails from Kitengela said that her mother didn't have money for her fare. The other girl's reason for not seating for the exams
have not been established after efforts to trace her proved futile.
2,663 pupils from Kangundo sub-county and 3,991 pupils sat for their KCSE without any problems according to the sub-county education officers, Hadard Wanjau and Helle Yawa respectively.
No cases of cheating were reported in the two sub-counties.
