Speaking as the guest of honour during an initiative of tree planting and cleaning of the environment by Abagusii Baraton students association in the Nyamira Jamhuri grounds, Nyaribo called locals to plant as many trees as possible.

"We are almost heading to the wet seasons. As residents of Nyamira County, let us plant trees and also ensure we don't plant trees that use a lot of water such as eucalyptus in water catchment areas," he said.

In addition, as he was receiving seedlings to plant in marking the event, Nyaribo also urged youths to establish tree nurseries as they will help them in generating money from their sale and a source of trees and timbers in the future.

"I call upon all youths to fully participate in tree planting and also establish tree nurseries that will help them in the future," said Nyaribo.
