Omar Hassan has corrected those suggesting that former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka has been endorsed by his Kamba community as apposed to the party.
The Mombasa senator was reacting to a comment by one of the panelists during KTN's The Way It Is program.
The outspoken senator has faulted the common belief that communities are the ones that endorse leaders. The Wiper leader and former vice president is among the candidates that are likely to face off president Kenyatta. He has Kamba support which is a Kenyan political routine.
However, his defender senator Omar has said Musyoka does not belong to Kamba community but he is a national leader. According to Omar, Wiper has endorsed Musyoka because of his national acceptability.
Omar believes that their party is a national party that does not only represent Ukambani.
The Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant believes that his party captain can mobilize votes from Coastal region, western, Nairobi and central with ease compared to ANC's Musalia Mudavadi.
This is a continuation of Omar's relentless support for Kalonzo Musyoka.
