Residents of Mau Narok ward in Njoro sub-county have threatened to hold peaceful demonstrations over poor roads in the area.

Speaking on Friday in a forum attended by area MCA Irungu Gitonga, the residents said the area has no development projects.

The residents put the MCA on a tough task to explain how he has used 25 million shilings of the last financial year.

According to them, though the money was released by county Government of Nakuru no tangible project has been seen in the area adding that most roads in the area are in pathetic state.

"We want our area MCA to tell us where the money for the last financial year went to because we can’t see any development in this area " a resident said.

"If the MCA cannot account for the money then we have no otherwise but to hold demonstrations across the ward" another resident added.

Area MCA said the issue cannot be handled at the time.

"Please,I know you have issues but come to my office because right now I have to go to Kiajoya Secondary to hand over this Bursary funds worth 165 thousand shillings" he said
