Nyamira County residents have been advised to join Jubilee party in the forthcoming general election or risk staying in the cold.
According to Jomo Kenyatta Foundation chairman Walter Nyambati, Jubilee is the winning team come 2017, and so he has no doubt to tell residents to join his camp.
Speaking on Monday during the opening of Jubilee Alliance Party office in Nyamira, Nyambati said the county has been in the opposition for many years but it has come the time that they need to be in the government.
“Nyamira County has been in the opposition for many years without gaining anything, we wish to advise the residents to join the winning team ahead of the general election if you want to benefit,” said the former Kitutu Masaba MP.
Nyambati is eyeing the governorship in next year's seat. He is seeking to oust the incumbent John Nyagarama.
The meeting which was attended by the Nyamira County Assembly Speaker Joash Nyamoko and a section of MCAs, said they had joined Jubilee ahead of 2017 as it is poised to win the polls.
“We cannot be in the cold for all years. It is high time we need to join the government since without any doubt, Jubilee is that winning party come 2017, “ said Nyamoko.
