The employees demonstrated on Monday accusing their tea factory management of deducting Sh1600 every month without knowing the use of the money being deducted.

Enock Mose (not real name) said the habit of deducting their salaries has developed in the factory prompting them to incur losses.

“Every month we find our money deducted we don’t know the use of the money we have demonstrated to compel the management to explain to us what is the use of the money and why they deduct without consulting us,” said the demonstrator.

They threatened not to resume back to work until the factory management act on the issue transparently.

They also said that they were forced to bank their salaries using a common bank prescribed by the factory despite the fact that they have other bank accounts.
