Residents of Green View Estate (formerly Manyani) in Nakuru East will have a reason to smile after World Bank revealed that two projects will be initiated in the area.
Nakuru East Residents' Association member Francis Shinali said the two projects identified are a community clinic and a poshomill.
According to Mr Shinali, the projects will be put in place in line with World Bank Kenya Informal Settlement Improvement Program-KISIP.
"We know the World Bank is in the process of improving low income areas and our area of Green View has benefited with two projects - a poshomill and a clinic," said Shinali.
He however revealed that the projects were identified under the NYS program and that the poshomill shall be run by area youths.
Shinali who is also the chair at the board of Bondeni Dispensary said the clinic project shall be a mobile container premises but with full nurses on duty.
"The poshomill shall be run by our youths but the clinic shall be run by the donors themselves with assistance from locals," he said.
The group has been working closely with World Bank to improve livelihoods and these projects will be a big milestone for them in the region.
