Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu has rubbished claims that Ukambani people cannot do without Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.
According to Mutambu, Kalonzo’s time in the political arena is over and he has to pack his belongings and go home. Speaking at his office after issuing title deeds to Waita residents, Mutambu accused coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) co-principal Kalonzo of holding the community hostage.
Mutambu called upon Kalonzo to set the community free. “I will contest on the Jubilee ticket and ensure Uhuru secures Ukambani votes. Kalonzo will get nothing. The time has come for us to be free. If he thinks he is next to God when it comes to Kambaland, he should forget it,” he said.
Mutambu has also lashed out at Kalonzo for being a loner ranger asking him to pack his political belongings and go home for good.
“Kalonzo has nothing to brag about because his house is empty. What he did during the Mashujaa Day celebrations was unwise. The way he addressed the President was uncouth if at all he dreams of becoming President one day,” Mutambu said.
Mutambu’s sentiments come at a time when Kalonzo future in Cord remains uncertain despite insisting that he is not leaving.
