Students who sat last year's Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams have been urged not to give up hope of a better future even if they did not perform well.
Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri made the appeal in his backyard on Monday, urging students not to be downcast or turn to antisocial conduct if the just released results fail to live up to their expectations.
Ngunjiri argued that there was life after primary school and that there were alternative training venues such as polytechnics where students who fail to join secondary schools over low marks could go to.
At the same time, he challenged parents not to turn the heat on their children who did not perform well and instead counsel them adding that if mistreated then such children could harm themselves or disappear from home.
