The CS said teachers did a fantastic job as there were no cases of cheating in terms of early exam leakages.

The exams that took 18 days ended with candidates sitting for an Art paper.

Magoha pointed out that the exam irregularities which took place in some counties were able to be managed by officers in charge.

“There were a few cases of attempted early exposures in specific parts of the country mainly in Nairobi’s Eastleigh, Kisii, Migori, Homa Bay and some parts of Wajir and Garissa,” he noted as quoted by Standard.

The CS also said that his ministry had earlier identified schools which were famous for irregularities and had taken measures to curb it.

The Ministry of Education had identified 300 examination centers but only 21 were involved in exam irregularities.

According to Magoha, people who were involved in impersonation of candidates especially in Kisii and the officers who were caught receiving bribes will face the law.

“Now that the examinations are complete, we intend to go to the marking process immediately. We have a multi-agency team that will oversee the credibility of the process," said the CS.
