The Kenya women volleyball team popularly known as the Malkia Strikers will face Cameroon in the women volleyball final at the African games in Rabat, Morocco on Friday.

This will be the second time Malkia strikers play Cameroon in a continental final after the two teams clashed during the Women’s African Nations Championship in Cairo, Egypt. 

On Wednesday, Malkia Strikers stunned Nigerian three sets to nil, booking a slot in the final. 

On its part, the Cameroon team defeated hosts Morocoo three sets to nil, setting a date with the Kenyan side.

The Kenyan team is expected to provide its best performance in a bid to emerge African champions.

Top Kenyan players including; Jane Wacu, Mercy Moim, and Janet Wanja among others have vowed to fly the Kenyan flag high, and deliver a top notch performance. 

Malkia Strikers coach Paul Bitok has said his team will do its best to claim the title.

“We do not have any other option other than to return home with the title. I am happy that my girls have adapted well to my tactics and we are going to plan adequately for the final irrespective of whoever we meet,” Bitok said as quoted by Citizen Digital
