Nyamira County gubernatorial aspirant who is also a city based lawyer Job Nyasimi has said that the current anti-IEBC demonstrations are placing the country in a 'violence' mood as the country moves to the next general elections.

Speaking to the reporter today, Wednesday at Bwomboga Hospital in Nyamira where he led other locals to retrieve the body of the late chief Akola, Nyasimi said that Cord did the same during the 2007 election, leading to political violence.

“This is the same story which was in 2007, and now Raila wants to push the country into the same scenario, I am a Cord member but this way of handling the IEBC is moving into a critical situation,” said Nyasimi.

“There are legal procedures to be followed when addressing critical issues which may affect the country negatively, not to call for mass demonstration the same way they called mass demonstration in 2007,” Nyasimi added.

“Youths are being misused by the political leaders for selfish interests, that is a fact the youths should be aware of when it comes with dealing with politicians, that is how we are," he went on.
