A mother and her 12-year daughter have been admitted to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital after their house caught fire at night.

The two are from Bomorenda village in Bonchari, Kisii County. The cause of the fire has not been established yet. 

Speaking after the incident, her husband and a father of ten children said that her wife got the injuries whey they were trying to save their children as the fire had started from the children's room. 

Mr John Omanga said that they are very saddened by the incident and called for well-wishers to assist them as their property worth thousands of shilling was destroyed by the fire.
