An international investor has promised to increase Kenya Meat Commission’s profitability.
Netherlands based TransNational Agri Projects B.V Company director Kristof Deprez said the company will help in upgrading KMC’s old machinery thereby improving its production capacity.
“We have gone round the entire factory for nearly five hours today, its machinery is quiet old,” said Deprez.
Mr Deprez who addressed the press at the firm’s Athi River town plant after inspecting the company’s machinery on Tuesday said their ages was not a problem but their working conditionalities.
He said according to the company’s management, several machines at the plant were no longer operational.
“We can increase profitability of the company, we have technical support,” said Deprez.
He said the other investment partners he engaged were experts with more technical support since their companies also install and maintain meat production companies like Kenya Meat Commission.
Deprez said the four companies will help in modernization of Kenya Meat Commission thereby make it increase its production, sales and eventually profits.
