The deceased, Esther Wambui died on July 15 at the Kenyatta National Hospital. She was battling cancer.

Early this month, Gladys Mwihaki who is the sister to the deceased was captured on video lamenting after the doctors allegedly failed to attend to her sister.

According to Mwihaki, the hospital demanded them to pay Sh1,950 before they could attend to the deceased.

"I asked them; my patient has been sleeping here since yesterday at 2:00 pm, yet she has remained unattended to. The documents which she was given are here. They kept on asking her if her people had come. Couldn't she have been treated and we pay later or we hold a fundraiser we pay the bill? ( Nikawauliza huyu mgonjwa wangu amelala hapa kutoka jana mchana saa nane, hakuna kitu amefanyiwa? Makaratasi zake zenye alipewa ndio hizi hapa. Wanamuuliza watu wenyu hawajakuja, watu wenyu hawajakuja. Hawezitibiwa alafu tukuje ulipe ama tufanye harambee tulipe?)," Mwihaki painfully expressed.

Wambui was, however, admitted after well-wishers came to her rescue. Unfortunately, she passed on while receiving treatment and the hospital is demanding settlement of over Sh200,000  before her body is released for burial.

Namu has called on Kenyans to help the family Wambui's body by sending the contributions to the number: 0725 295414.
