TV host Tony Gachoka has slammed Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua following a negative comment she made about his Point Blank Show which airs on KTN.
Gachoka on Wednesday night hosted Karua's arch-rival Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru where they discussed varying issues ranging from her personal life, governance, devolution to current happenings in the national politics.
In a tweet on Thursday, Karua, who lost her gubernatorial bid to Waiguru, sneered at the show and wondered: "A paid advert or an interview?"
The remark attracted the wrath of Gachoka who accused the NARC-Kenya boss of demeaning the same programme in which she was hosted on a few weeks ago.
Taking to Twitter to express his disappointment, the veteran journalist said the Governor, just like Karua, has a right to be hosted on show, which is one of Kenya's most-watched TV episodes.
"Martha Karua I can’t honestly believe that you can be both this cheap, petty and ridiculous. Anne Waiguru was interviewed as you were on KTN Point Blank and has a right to be heard!" Gachoka posted.
During the interview, Waiguru revisited the dismissal of Karua's election petition challenging her victory by the Supreme Court and urged the Narc-Kenya leader to accept the ruling and move on.
Karua has maintained she did not find justice at the country's apex court and has threatened to petition the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) over the ruling.
"She should remember that she played a part in ensuring that there is a time limit to the hearing of the election petition cases. Justice doesn’t only happen when the court goes your way," the Governor said.
