Kathiani sub-county legislator Robert Mbui has condemned Johnston Muthama and Timothy Bosire detention.
The two were arrested on June 14 over hate speech allegations.
Among other leaders detained are Junet Mohammed and Aisha Juma who are also Cord members.
Speaking from his office in Machakos town, Mbui said that it does not make any sense arresting only some of the Cord leaders who were responding to Moses Kuria, Ferdinand Waititu and Ngunjiri hate speeches.
"As a Cord member, I condemn the action of arresting some of us. I would like to urge them to arrest all of us inorder for peace to be restored. Arrested members were just responding to hate speech from some of Jubilee leaders," said Mbui.
Mbui said no law was followed in arresting them and therefore he called for their release.
He urged Cord supporters to exercise patience as the matter is handled and assured that they will soon be free.
