Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa is no longer needed in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa has said.
The firebrand lawmaker has been involved in a membership tussle with the party, but remains a party member, even after crossing over to the Deputy President William Ruto side.
Aladwa now says that Jumwa, who has even been savagely attacking ODM lately, is no longer wanted in ODM, and can proceed to do whatever she thinks is right for her and her politics.
"Aisha Jumwa has done too much harm, we no longer need her in ODM, let her go away (Aisha Jumwa amechafua sana, hatumhitaji kwa ODM, aende kabisa)," he said on Saturday.
The MP was speaking on Radio Jambo, while weighing-in on the latest case where Kakamega Senator Cleopa Malala had been suspended from the Amani National Congress (ANC).
Malala has been suspected as a punishment for campaigning for ODM candidate Imran Okoth in the concluded Kibra by-elections, where ANC had fronted Eliud Owalo.
Aladwa, the ODM Chair for Nairobi, said that though he cannot speak on ANC affairs, it would have been right for the party to get Malala's side of the story before punishing him.
"I am not an ANC member and I am not familiar with their rules but the should listen to him first (Mimi si mwanachama wa ANC, sijui sheria zao, lakini wanafaa wamsikize kwanza)," he said.
Malala is part of the ANC rebellious trio which also includes Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi and Vihiga senator George Khaniri, who have been working closely with ODM leader Raila Odinga.
