Kisumu All Stars interim coach Arthur Opiyo expects his side to end a 7-game losing streak, when his team face Sammy Omollo 'Pamzo's' Posta Rangers on Sunday afternoon.
The Kenya Premier League (KPL) match will be played at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu, with Opiyo indicating that he has been focusing on sharpening the team’s weak areas, before going head-to-head with Rangers.
“This is quite a promising team given the talent, passion and dedication the players have. We have sharpened the weak areas in the team and we are looking forward to taking on Posta Rangers. I expect a tough match but we are ready to fight for at least a point bearing in mind we are at home,” Opiyo said as quoted by Nation.
The German-based coach was appointed on an interim basis last week, to take over from veteran Henry Omino who was asked to step aside, due to poor results.
The new tactician’s first assignment was against Tusker FC on January 08, where his side went down 2-0 at the Ruaraka grounds in Nairobi.
A part from Tusker, Kisumu All Stars has lost matches against AFC Leopards, Zoo Kericho, Sofapaka, Bandari FC, Gor Mahia and Kakamega Homeboyz respectively.
