Uriri Member of Parliament Mark Nyamita has criticised his Kandara counterpart Alice Wahome over remarks she made against President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Nyamita, who is a member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, said it was not right for the legislator to make such remarks in public.
He challenged Wahome to meet the president and square out her issues, adding that the legislator's remarks were aimed at tarnishing the president's name.
“Wahome was one of President Kenyatta’s staunch supporters who even physically fought to defend him. She shouldn't settle her personal scores in public,” he said.
“Wahome who is a staunch supporter of the Tangatanga team allied to the Deputy President has jumped from the pan into political fire,’’ he added.
Addressing the handshake, the vocal MP said the relationship between Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga, was meant to benefit all Kenyans, and not just themselves as alleged.
