A man was on Tuesday arraigned in a Kibera court for attempting to kill his wife.
Charles Ouma appeared before the Kibera Chief Magistrate Ann Ong'ijo, and was charged for stabbing his wife at Sarangombe in Kibera on June 9, 2016.
The court heard that on the material day, at around 8.00pm, the accused went to the house and a quarrel ensued after a disagreement.
The accused is said to have picked a knife and stabbed the woman after which he escaped.
While testifying, Jack Awour, mother to the girl, told the court how, as she was going back home from her business, she found her daughter being taken to hospital. When she was informed what had happened, she took her daughter to Kenyatta Hospital before reporting the matter to the Kilimani Police Station.
The following day, the accused was spotted at Kibera, and was arrested and taken to Olympic Police Station where he was charged with murder and later arraigned in court where he denied the charges.
