Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has said none of the partners in the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) coalition, has the intention of going it alone in the 2017 general election.
Speaking on Wednesday during an interview on Jeff Koinange Live, Omar warned that an attempt by any of the coalition partners to go their own way would be politically disastrous.
"If Raila Odinga goes by himself, we will say bye bye Baba, if Kalonzo Musyoka goes by himself, a political obituary must be written, and if Moses Wetangula goes by himself, a political obituary must also be written," he said.
"The only destiny of Cord as a coalition is tied to their unity. If you want to have a realistic chance against Jubilee, you have to create a perception of unity which shall consequently increase your political capital," he added.
All the three principals want to be endorsed as the coalition's flag bearer ahead of the 2017pollls.
