Devolution Cabinet secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri has come under sharp criticism for distributing too little food on Friday.
Residents of Baringo have condemned the CS for distributing the food using a chopper instead of road.
According to the Star, the residents claimed that it was ironical for the leaders to use expensive choppers but give little food.
"It was good for them if they could travel by road so that they could see how people here were losing thousands of animals due to acute drought in the area," a resident is quoted by the Star.
Kiunjuri was in the company of Water CS Eugene Wamalwa where they contributed 5, 000 bags of maize, 2, 500 bags of rice, 2, 000 bags of beans.
The country has been experiencing drought since last with minimal rains being experienced in most parts.
