Mt Kenya leaders have called on Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaiserry to take swift action against maasai morans who are disrupting peace at Utheri wa Lari farm.
Led by nominated senator Paul Njoroge and Naivasha MP John Kihagi, they on Thursday said that Nkaiserry should move with speed and order arrest of those who were involved.
“This time round, we want Nkaiserry to come here and sort out this problem. He should have been here because we always see him go to other places where there are clashes,” said Njoroge.
Kihagi said the land issue has become a complex issue and needs be addressed.
“This is an issue that we have talked about in our parliamentary committees and time has come for us to do what we have to do and we will not go to court. Let Nkaiserry come here and do what he is supposed to,” said Kihagi.
Two elderly men were attacked on Tuesday morning by an alleged group of 10 morans leaving them with serious injuries.
