The school heads converged at the Tom Mboya Labour College to learn more about their employer and interact.

Kisumu County Kenya Primary School Heads Association vice chairman Charles Odida said the open day is important in the growth of education.

“TSC is like our mother and father, they must come back and meet their children who are teachers. This open day gives us the opportunity to raise some of our issues with the employer,” he said.

Odida said Rabuor primary school was also honored by TSC for emerging the best in the music competition.

The pupils who took the trophy for the Scottish Dance also had the opportunity to perform for the head teachers.

Speaking to the press in Kisumu on Wednesday, Odida who is also the head teacher at Rabuor primary school says they managed to take the trophy for good after emerging the winner for the fourth consecutive year.

He said the competition will again start a fresh next year and appealed for support to enable the school to continue with its exemplary work.

Odida said as a rural school, they have beaten many odds to remain at the top in their musical performance.

“We have done it and it is a shock to other big schools, private schools that a rural primary school can do this, four times,” he said.
