Kisii County residents have called upon the area Governor James Ongwae to work with the national government to spearhead more development projects more so in the infrastructure sector.
According to some residents, the county is currently facing a lot of challenges and they believe it’s due to the fact that the governor has highly sidelined the government and it’s high time he changes.
Benjamin Mageka a resident at Daraja Mbili said most of the roads, public hospitals and above all the markets and buying centers need to get more funding to ensure they create a good environment for development.
“The national government has really helped other counties that are corporating with them and it’s high time our governor looks into it and changes his mind so that we can receive more funds for the development,” he added.
Though Mageka blamed Members of parliament for not working with the governor and failed to advise him on how to run the county.
