Monica Okoth, widow of former Kibra MP Ken Okoth and his said mistress Anne Thumbi could be set for a legal battle after they submitted varying DNA results.
Monica on Wednesday rejected Thumbi's results which indicated that her son was sired by the departed lawmaker, terming the results not genuine.
This was after Thumbi, a nominated member of the Nairobi County Assembly, presented details of tests carried out in Kenya, after she had three done, both locally and abroad.
Daily Nation reports that Thumbi has since attempted to block Ms Okoth from findings to be considered by the court, and has applied to have it thrown out on grounds that the case is settled.
In line with the DNA verdict which shows that chances that Okoth sired the boy are 99.99 per cent, Ms Thumbi wants to be included in the sharing of Okoth's estate.
Okoth's family is also set to receive Sh32 million from Parliament as his death gratuity and group life insurance cover after the court indicates the administrator of his estate.
Okoth succumbed to colorectal cancer in July after a short battle with the ailment and was later cremated at the Kariokor crematorium as he had indicated in his will.
