Chief Justice Dr Willy Mutunga is expected to open a new court recently set up at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The court will be expected to handle cases that emanate from JKIA and Wilson Airports.
The two airports were previously served by Makadara and Kibera law courts respectively.
The cases which are expected to be handled by the new court include traffic offences and the smuggling of drugs which is becoming a global concern.
The court will be headed by a Senior Principle Magistrate.
According to Peter Mulwa, the Registrar, Magistrates Court, the court will ensure exhibits are preserved to avoid tampering which has in the past led to the collapse of cases due to lack of sufficient evidence to back up prosecution.
This is part of the initiatives that the judiciary is spearheading to ensure that cases are handled expeditiously and that justice is dispensed at the shortest time possible.
This comes one month after High Court judges were transferred to new stations in a major reshuffle that saw the creation of other courts in a bid to clear backlog of cases, with high profile Judge Mumbi Ngugi moved to Kericho from Nairobi.
The process also saw the deployment of 14 new Judges to areas where the backlog of cases was high in order.
