National carrier Kenya Airways has apologized to passengers who were left stranded in Amsterdam after their flight was diverted due to bad weather.
This after the KQ flight to Paris was diverted to Amsterdam where 12 passengers were allegedly abandoned to find their own accommodation.
According to Nation, the airline explained what exactly transpired on Saturday.
"We did have a few guests in the situation when the flight was diverted and could not gain entry. Unfortunately, airplanes have no jurisdiction at passport control or immigration. We are in contact with the guests in the said case and are working to reduce the inconvenience for them. We apologize to our guests who are caught up in the diversion,"read a statement from KQ.
KQ flights to different destinations in Europe were diverted in Europe due to winter being experienced in the region.
