According to The Standard on Saturday, Kenta, who was elected on a TNA ticket, also accused the Jubilee administration of failing to address issues affecting the Maasai community.

"The party that sponsored me to Parliament is being dissolved. It means by Saturday when the Jubilee Party will be launched, I will be party-less. From this point, I will have to consult my people on the next step and Jubilee is not automatic for me," said Kenta as quoted by The Standard on Saturday.

"When TNA will be dissolved, my people will decide where I will go, but Kanu and Mashinani parties should be ruled out. As for ODM, yes. We need a party in which as a leader from minority Maasai community, I will have an opportunity to even be President," he said.

Speaking in Narok town, Kenta said he declined to attend the Jubilee Party National Delegates Conference in Nairobi, so as not be viewed as a party defector.

"I do not want to confuse my people and be referred to as a party defector when I announce my next step. They have said it is either you shape up or ship out," he said.

He accused Jubilee of engaging in political patronage, dismissing the notion that new party will steer Deputy President William Ruto bid for the presidency in 2022 as having a long way to go.

Last month, Kenta snubbed President Uhuru during the homecoming of Geothermal Development Company managing director Johnson ole Nchoe.
