Kiambu senator Kimani Wamatangi has joined the list of politicians wooing Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka out of the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord).
Wamatangi says that Kalonzo will be guaranteed a position in Jubilee government if he ditches the Raila Odinga led opposition.
Speaking on Citizen TV on Thursday morning, Wamatangi told Kalonzo that he stands to lose if he remains in the opposition.
"We will continue to ask our brother Kalonzo and others to quit Cord and join Jubilee because we want him to be in government come 2017," said the Kiambu senator.
Wamatangi said that Jubilee government will retain power in the forthcoming 2017 general elections .
The senator indicated that Cord will not win against President Uhuru Kenyatta noting that Kenyans have faith in Uhuru's government.
Wamatangi at the same time dismissed claims by opposition that Jubilee government is plotting to weaken the opposition by luring some of its members.
He said that the claims are baseless adding that Jubilee is only reaching out to leaders it thinks are fit to be in government and help push the country's development agenda.
Calls for Kalonzo to quit Cord are increasing with several Ukambani politicians saying that they will not rest until Kalonzo ditches Cord.
There have also been claims that Kalonzo has been offered the Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary (CS) position following the nomination of current CS Amina Mohammed to head the African Union's (AU) Commission .
Speaking on Radio Jambo on Thursday, Kalonzo dismissed claims that he has been contacted by the Jubilee government for the Foreign Affairs post.
Kalonzo said that he will not be lured by 'cheap' positions saying that he will not accept anything from the Jubilee government.
The Wiper leader said that his ambition is for the presidential seat in the 2017 polls.
Kalonzo also said that he has no plans of ditching Cord as being speculated in some media outlets.
