Farmers in entire Gusii region have been called upon to ensure that they utilise their tea bonuses well and ensure that they carry out projects that can benefit them in the future.
Addressing a number of farmers on Wednesday at Nyangowa Tea Buying Centre KTDA official Seth Ombogo said that most farmers have a tendency of misusing their bonuses and hence forgetting to invest wisely.
Ombogo called upon the farmers to ensure they save for their children’s school fees so that they won’t undergo tough times come January.
“We have seen many waste their bonuses which fuels conflict within families and I would like you to ensure that you save the money and invest wisely so that you can prosper,” he added.
He also advised the farmers to even consider paying school fees earlier if they won’t be able to save as that will save them from wasting the funds.
