Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has denied calling for the assassination of Cord leader Raila Odinga.
Kuria accused the authorities of attacking outspoken Kikuyu politicians while doing nothing about politicians from other communities.
While speaking in Lari, Kuria distanced himself from the sentiments that Raila should be shot.
"I said that Raila should follow what Boinnet had said so that no one should take advantage and shoot him. Did I say he should be shot? I was just telling him to be cautious with his life so that he is given enough security so that he does not blame me. That is what I said," Kuria said.
The Gatundu South MP, questioned why is it that when he speaks in Kikuyu then it happens that everybody understands the language.
"Whenever I speak in Kikuyu, everyone becomes a Kikuyu and understands Kikuyu. But when we talk in English asking them to follow the constitution, they do not hear. Which is easier to understand?" Kuria said.
Kuria further challenged the NCIC to also summon Raila and other Cord leaders who have been making hate statements.
"The other day, Raila said that police spokesman Charles Owino should not be siding with the government because he is a Luo. Was Raila saying the police spokesman should stop doing his job because he is a Luo?" he said.
