Speaking before Senior Residence Magistrate, Judicaster Nthuku, Margret Wangari told the court that her son threatened to kill her using a panga on May 17 in Njoro, Nakuru.

Daniel Thuo was arrested on May 18 and charged with creating disturbance in a manner likely to breach the peace of other people.

Wangari told the court that she does not want to reconcile with her son and asked the court to jail him for being a threat to her life.

“I am not willing to reconcile with Thuo even if he is my son. He threatened to evict and kill me. If he is released now, he will definitely kill me for taking him to court.

She further told the court that he has been abusive to his siblings and other neighbours terming him a perpetual troublemaker. She also said that the accused is under the influence of bhang.

Police Constable Halkano Abduba who investigated the matter confirmed arresting Thuo and recovering the panga from his room.

The accused denied being a threat to anyone and asked the court to release him.

The prosecution sought for an adjournment of the case to avail more witnesses. The case was adjourned to July 21.
