Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama on Monday accused a number of MPs of spying on Matiang'i, adding that they are under instructions from Dr Ruto.

"We met at Matiang'i's office on Wednesday last week and immediately after we finished, the Tanga Tanga team rushed to Karen to brief him," said Arama.

The second term legislator accused the leaders of lying to the general public on appointments to government, arguing that Dr Ruto has never given any slot to Gusii.

"I was in parliament since 2013. The Interior, Education, ICT dockets were all for Uhuru and that's where Matiang'i has served. Ruto never gave us anything. Instead of spying on Matiang'i, let them ask him for a slot," he said.

On Saturday at Sironga, a group of MPs led by North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko claimed that Dr Matiang'i's slot was given by both Uhuru and Ruto.

"We respect Dr Matiang'i and we thank Uhuru and Ruto for giving us the seat. We urge him to use it to develop Gusii region," said the former Nyamira speaker.

Last Wednesday, Dr Matiang'i met 14 MPs from Nyamira and Kisii Counties where he discussed matters development at his Harambee House offices.
