Former Nyamira Senator Kennedy Mong'are has protested the plan by the Treasury to cut Judiciary's budget.
Mong'are, who is a practising lawyer slammed the Treasury arguing that the Judiciary should be given more funds for the purpose of discharging duties to Kenyans.
According to the vocal politician, Kenyans seeking justice in the judicial system may not get justice because members of the Judiciary will be unhappy.
"As a practising lawyer, I'm bitter over the decision to cut the Judiciary budget. This is a crucial arm of government that needs support for the sake of delivering justice to common citizens," said Mong'are as reported by Egesa FM.
The ex-senator further accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of using dubious means to seek funds for his Big 4 Agenda.
He said the Jubilee government under the leadership of President Uhuru should recover money stolen by corrupt government officials instead of cutting the budget of the Judiciary and other institutions.
"If President Uhuru wants to meet his Big 4 Agenda, he should seal the corruption loopholes and ensure the money stolen is recovered so that he can use the money to fund development projects. Cutting the Judiciary budget is unacceptable and I urge MPs to ensure the Judiciary gets justice," he added.
