Mr Ranguma claimed he has had to do the job of the Senator, as well as his as governor.

The governor who addressed members of East-West Youth Group on Thursday said as a governor he is entitled to implementing development projects using available resources, but has had to go out and look for more resources as Nyong'o who should be doing the work has failed to do it.

Ranguma said the Constitution provides that county governments get money from the national government's exchequer, from Senate allocation and local revenues.

"As governors we have had to engage the national government through the Council of Governors or individually to negotiate for monies yet the senators meant to do that work are busy fighting us," said Ranguma.

He added: "Currently we are fighting to reclaim Sh7.3 billion meant for Health from the national government. Nyong'o has never brought a single cent to this county and what he does is to move around saying money is being wasted in the county. Ask him how much he has brought to the county."

He accused the senator of frustrating him, just like the other 47 senators across the county, whom he accused of turning against the governors because they have an interest in the positions.

Prof Nyong'o has been giving Ranguma headache after he declared that he will run for the gubernatorial seat, and has been critical of Ranguma's government over what he termed as non-performance.

Ranguma however, took a bold step saying he will not bow to unnecessary criticism adding that: "I have done something however, small. Can you ask the Senator what he has done."
